No. Only 4 works for Level 1 exams (Prel – Grade 4) and 5 works for Level 2 exams (Grade 5 – 8).

An Own Choice piece should have similar educational value to the pieces in the syllabus for the chosen grade.

For Level One (Preliminary – Grade 4) four works are required, three pieces from Lists A, B and C and one Own Choice work. In Level Two (Grades 5 – 8) five works are required three pieces from the Lists plus two Own Choice works of equivalent standard.

An examination where the candidate performs only pieces (repertoire). There are no Technical Work, General Knowledge, Aural Tests or Sight Reading requirements in this type of exam.

Students whose study programs do not align with the requirements of AMEB exams, such as VCE students, Suzuki or Yamaha students OR those who would value feedback prior to an AMEB exam, such as those preparing for Associate or Licentiate examinations.

No. A parent/guardian or candidate over the age of 18 may register as an AMEB Connect account holder.

Submit the YouTube URL (link) on the Performance Evaluation submission form.  

A Performance Evaluation is an ungraded assessment of a performance by an AMEB Examiner. The candidate receives written feedback and a Certificate of Participation. Evaluations may be in-person or by video.

To access an online Theory, Musicianship or Music Craft exam: Go to the SCORE website. Log in with the Exam Key and Exam PIN which was emailed when you purchased the exam. Select either practice or official exam from the menu on the left of the page.

Log in to AMEB Connect and select Enrol a candidate from the dashboard then add a new candidate or find a previous candidate. Choose Series 90 – Online Written Examinations. Select the Syllabus and Grade. Select Add to basket.
