Withdrawal, Cancellation or Rescheduling
In the unforunate event that a candidate cannot attend their scheduled Practical exam please contact us at the earliest

Withdrawal
The enroller should contact us in writing if a candidate is to be withdrawn from their exam. If written advice is received by the closing date for the session, the exam fee less an administration fee will be refunded to the enroller.
Cancellation for medical reasons
If a candidate is unable to attend an exam for medical reasons, the teacher/enroller/parent is requested to phone AMEB Victoria as soon as possible. The enroller can contact us in writing to request to reschedule the exam to a later date in the current year, providing a medical certificate is supplied. A rescheduling fee of 50% of the exam fee is payable once the rescheduled exam is confirmed. If an exam cannot be rescheduled, a refund of 50% of the exam fee can be requested. It is not possible to reschedule an exam to another calendar year.
Cancellation for other reasons
A refund will not be given when a cancellation is for a non-medical reason, other than in exceptional circumstances. By the time a cancellation is received, the exam timetable has usually been finalised and all the costs associated with the exam (examiner, supervisor, venue hire, etc.) are incurred whether the candidate attends or not.
Rescheduling of Practical exams
A candidate may apply to reschedule an exam within the same calendar year for any reason and a fee equivalent to 75% of the original exam fee will apply. Please contact us in writing to make a rescheduling request. The availability of an alternative exam time cannot be guaranteed. If it is not possible to reschedule the exam during the current year, the rescheduling fee will not be charged, but no refund of the original exam fee will be offered. An enrolment cannot be transferred from one candidate to another.
We require all rescheduling requests to be submitted in writing. To reschedule an exam for medical reasons please attach a medical certificate.
