Our examiners

Examiners at AMEB Victoria are selected for their advanced qualifications and extensive experience in both teaching and performance. Each examiner has a strong understanding of the AMEB system and is a specialist in their chosen field, whether in music, speech, or drama. This ensures candidates are assessed by someone with deep knowledge of their instrument, voice, or discipline. Wherever possible, we allocate examiners who are qualified in the relevant category, making each exam fair, meaningful, and supportive of the candidate’s development and progress.

AMEB Victoria examiners are also committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all candidates. Every examiner holds a current Working with Children Check or registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, ensuring the highest standards of care. Their role is to provide assessments that recognise achievement but also and inspire future progress.
