Applying to host paper-based Theory of Music exams
Paper-based grade exams are only available for Theory of Music and Musicianship diplomas and Music Craft Grades 5 and 6 by application.
Paper-based exams will be offered at the Hawthorn Studios on one day in September 2026, to be confirmed. Please contact us for further details.

Complete the form, providing details of: • proposed exam venue, date and time • name and contact details of the exam supervisor. • each candidate’s full name and date of birth, with details of the Theory of Music grade or diploma exam(s) requested.
Submit the completed form to AMEB Victoria at least six weeks before the proposed exam date.
AMEB Victoria will consider the request and once agreed, confirm arrangements with the enroller.
AMEB Victoria will enrol candidates and request payment of exam fees.
Confirmation of Enrolment will be issued after fees have been paid.
Exam papers will be prepared and forwarded to the approved exam supervisor.
Exam results will normally be available on AMEB Connect within 21 days of AMEB Victoria receiving the completed papers and certificates will be mailed to successful candidates.
