In AMEB’s newly-released Piano Series 19 Grade books, fresh repertoire choices sit beside beloved classics.
When enrolling for an AMEB Piano exam, candidates can enjoy exciting new pieces as well as familiar favourites. With cherished pieces from the great composers of the past alongside vibrant works from Australia, Asia and beyond, there is something to inspire every learner and every teacher.
Piano Series 19 Grade book consultant, Angela Turner, is an acclaimed Australian pianist and educator. Drawing on her extensive teaching experience, Angela led the selection of pieces, edited each work with tempo, fingering and other markings, and wrote performance notes for each piece.
Series 19 features:
- A diverse range of musical styles, including familiar favourites and works by living composers
- Repertoire which aligns with the technical requirements for each grade
- Pieces which are clearly typeset in an easy to read style.
Piano Series 19 is an addition to the current Piano Syllabus alongside Series’ 17 and 18. Technical Work requirements remain unchanged. Candidates may continue to choose pieces from Series’ 17 and 18 for exams in 2026.
