Choose from a single instrument syllabus, syllabuses grouped by instrument family, or the Manual of Syllabuses (Music) or (Speech & Drama) – they’re all available as free PDF downloads!
How to access your free syllabuses
- Go to ameb.edu.au/syllabuses
- Click ‘Download 2026 Syllabuses’ to access the download form.
- Choose your syllabus/es and click ‘submit’.
- Click ‘Download files’ to access your syllabus PDF/s.
Syllabuses are large files, so the PDFs will download in a zipped folder. Once extracted, you can view the file with your usual PDF viewer or internet browser.
Each syllabus includes:
- Latest AMEB news and exam Regulations.
- Exam requirements for each grade.
- Repertoire lists for practical exams, including Grade book contents and Manual lists.
