‘Old’ syllabus Piano exams available until 2021
The ‘old’ (2018) Piano syllabus will be available for examination until the end of 2021.
The version of the Piano syllabus that last appeared in the 2018 Manual of Syllabuses will be withdrawn from examination from 31 December 2021 (previously advised as being withdrawn at the end of 2020). From the start of 2022 the ‘old’ (2018) Piano syllabus will no longer be available for examination.
Piano Repertoire exams in 2020
Candidates presenting for the Piano Repertoire exam in 2020 will be able to source repertoire from either the 2020 Piano (Comprehensive) syllabus or the ‘old’ (2018) Piano syllabus. From 14 April, candidates may present for a Piano Repertoire grade exam by video or face-to-face (circumstances permitting). The possibility of presenting for a Certificate of Performance or Associate examination using a combination of video submission and online general knowledge interview is being investigated.
