‘For Leisure’ Repertoire exams


Students of Piano for Leisure, Singing for Leisure and Saxophone for Leisure will be able to present for an AMEB Repertoire grade exam by video or face-to-face.

Technical Work, Aural Tests/Sight Reading and General Knowledge tests will not form part of the ‘For Leisure’ Repertoire examination, however candidates will be required to prepare an additional Own Choice work.

Level 1 ‘For Leisure’ Repertoire exams (Preliminary to Grade 4)
For Level 1 ‘For Leisure’ Repertoire exams (Preliminary to Grade 4)
candidates must prepare four works: 2 List works + 2 Own Choice works of similar standard.

Level 2 ‘For Leisure’ Repertoire exams (Grades 5 to 8)
For Level 2 ‘For Leisure’ Repertoire exams (Grades 5 to 8), candidates must prepare four works: 2 List works + 2 Own Choice works of similar standard.

Teachers and candidates should refer to the graded repertoire lists published in the Manual of Syllabuses. Each ‘For Leisure’ syllabus is available in PDF format for purchase on AMEB Connect at the cost of $8.95 including GST; alternatively, the family of syllabuses for the instrument is available at the cost of $13.45 including GST.
