Free syllabus offer

Attention: Teachers of classical and contemporary practical music, speech and drama – free syllabus offer (ending 12 October 2020)

AMEB appreciates the importance of engagement with the performing arts, particularly in the current environment. And we understand the value of having concrete goals to work towards and achievements recognised.

That is why we have developed a range of video examinations and performance evaluations in classical and contemporary instruments, voice, speech and drama.

Examinations in the following subjects are available by video submission until 30 November:

  • AMEB Repertoire examinations for all instruments (except Brass Band) and voice, from Preliminary to Certificate of Performance level
  • AMEB Ensemble examinations (Brass, Mixed Ensemble, Percussion, Strings, Woodwind)
  • AMEB Contemporary Popular Music Repertoire examinations
  • Rockschool examinations
  • Ungraded Performance Evaluations of 10, 20 and 30 minutes*
  • Ungraded P Plate Piano assessments

AMEB Speech & Drama subjects to Certificate level are available as ‘live’ online video examinations. <Read more>

*Until 30 September, students of Unit 4 VCE Music Performance, VCE Music Investigation and VET Music Industry can submit a recording of their performance and receive a free Performance Evaluation from a specialist examiner in classical or contemporary styles. <Read more>
